FROM THE FOUNDER
FOUNDER MESSAGE
Dear Global Family,
I'm Nicolas Saveljić, a professional athlete, coach, and founder of Global Water Polo.
This sport has shaped nearly every part of who I am. It started in the small town of Kotor, Montenegro, where I grew up and played for the Montenegrin Senior National Team. At 18, I moved to Los Angeles to take on a new challenge, competing and studying at UCLA. It was a big shift: new language, new culture, new level. But it pushed me to grow, both in and out of the water. I earned a Master's in Coaching and Leadership, and kept evolving as a player, teammate, and leader. Today, I'm proud to represent the USA Senior National Team, a new chapter that continues to challenge and inspire me at the highest level of the game.
Water polo has introduced me to different ways of thinking, living, and playing. It's built friendships that feel like family. And it's shown me what's possible when the right people, environments, and opportunities come together.
That's exactly why I started Global Water Polo.
To create that access for others. To open doors, not just to elite training, but to cultural connection, personal growth, and a global network built on trust, hard work, and shared goals.
